Bangladesh National Cricket Team all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan won't be part of the upcoming ODI series against the West Indies National Cricket Team. As per the reports in Cricbuzz, the all-rounder made himself unavailable to focus on the Lanka T10 League.

Shakib Al Hasan didn't take part in the series against the Afghanistan National Cricket Team and now won't be taking part in the series against the West Indies National Cricket Team. This will be the last assignment for the Bangladesh National Cricket Team ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

A member of the selection panel of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the development about the Shakib Al Hasan missing the West Indies series. He told Cricbuzz: “He (Shakib) is not available for the ODIs against West Indies, and we have prepared our squad accordingly,
Another BCB official came up with the shocking statement, saying that Shakib Al Hasan isn't in a good mental state and they didn't feel that the all-rounder was in the right condition to play. While speaking to Cricbuzz, he explained:
“Given his current mental state, we felt Shakib isn't in the right condition to play. Playing franchise cricket is not the same as representing the national team,”

The reports claimed that Shakib Al Hasan will be playing for Galle Marvels in the Lanka T10 League, scheduled from December 12 to 22, during the ODI series against the West Indies National Cricket Team. The all-rounder was signed in the Platinum Player category during the pre-draft selections for the tournament
Bangladesh National Cricket Team will be soon announcing the squad, but they are awaiting the medical reports on Najmul Hossain and Towhid Hridoy before finalizing. The duo is recovering from groin injuries but the BCB is hopeful that they will play some role in the series.
The ODI series between the teams will take place in St. Kitts on December 8, 10, and 12, followed by three T20Is in St. Vincent on December 15, 17, and 19.
